Terms of Service

1. The service

CompressKits provides online tools for processing media files. During the launch phase every tool is completely free, with reasonable per-session limits that keep the service fast for everyone. Tools are provided as-is and we aim for high availability, but the free service carries no formal uptime guarantee.

2. Your content

You keep every right to files you upload. You grant us only the temporary technical license needed to store, process, and return them to you. That license ends when your files are deleted.

3. Acceptable use

Don’t upload content that is illegal, infringes others’ rights, or contains malware. Don’t attempt to disrupt the service, evade limits with automation, or resell access without a business agreement. We may suspend accounts that do, and we report illegal content where the law requires.

4. Cost

CompressKits is free to use during the launch phase — no account, no subscription, and no payment of any kind. If we ever introduce paid options in the future, existing free functionality will remain, and we’ll give clear notice before anything changes.

5. Liability

Keep copies of your originals — media processing is destructive by nature and we provide outputs as-is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for the free service is limited to re-running your job.
